If you have decided it is time to clean your carpets and you are not sure which carpet washer to use, the best thing to do is get the advice from others. There are many brands and many companies to wash and professionally clean your carpets.

A carpet washer is a little different than a carpet cleaner as the washer works under high pressure cleaning where as a carpet cleaner gently cleans the carpets. You would use a carpet washer for really tough jobs such as cleanup after a flood or fire or for carpets that are heavily soiled.

If you decide to do the job yourself, you need to rent a professional type washer from a certified carpet cleaning/washing shop. Renting one of the cheap brands will most likely not give you the results you are seeking and you will end up having to spend more money in the long run.

My best advice for such a job would to hire somebody to do it professionally. This way you get a guarantee that the job will be done right and although you could rent a carpet washer for ¼ the price of hiring a professional, you also get the peace of mind knowing the job is being done right.

It is important to know that your carpet can withstand the pressure of a carpet washer; if the carpet is old and worn, it may not hold up well to the pressure that is applied when you use a carpet washer. That is another reason why using a professional is a good idea; they will know if your carpet is durable enough to withstand the cleaning or not.

There really is a lot to consider when you decide to have your carpets washed; it is a difficult and rather heavy type job, so if you decide to do it yourself, you need to be prepared for the hard work involved in using a carpet washer.
